FWCC Welcomes You
What makes us different from other non-profit, civic organizations in Frederick? Rather than having a single focus, we engage in a variety of causes. We are unique in the breadth of our volunteer outreach and our financial support for community organizations.
The club’s service to the community has evolved over the past century from helping to establish Frederick’s first public library to today’s many programs and projects. As we enter our second century of service, club members can choose to concentrate their efforts in Our Signature Domestic Violence Project as well as in six areas and in special community needs that arise.
Preservation of the historic Steiner House is very important. Since FWCC purchased this 1807 home over 50 years ago, we have worked to preserve and maintain it to share with the community and future generations.
Proudly, our members donate an average of 15,000 hours each year to make Frederick an even better place to live, work, raise families and enjoy life.
There are several ways you can get involved. We are always welcoming new women to become members. Perhaps your group or organization share a common interest with us and we can partner together for a cause. We welcome donations and sponsors to ensure our programs continue to enrich the Frederick community.
In March of 2017 we will celebrate The 56th Annual Mardi Gras Ball as our annual fundraiser. Proceeds benefit a host of good causes to include the Frederick Memorial Hospital, James M, Stockman Cancer Center, other non-profits we support in our community programs, scholarships and the preservation of the historic Steiner House.
